ITINERARY OF DAY TRIP TO OUZOUD

Your day journey from Marrakech will begin at eight in the morning when you leave your lodging. The trip takes about three hours and crosses the breathtaking Atlas Mountains to get to the Ouzoud waterfalls, which are in the town of Tanaghmeilt, north of Marrakech. You’ll go past enormous fields of olive trees along the route, and as you get closer, the magnificent falls will be visible—a sight to see!

This is where you’ll get to the hamlet of Ouzoud. Once you’re there, you may either hire a local guide to give you a tour or explore the region on your own. Walking down pathways that lead to little ponds at the bottom, you’ll encounter waterfalls that drop more than 110 meters, one after the other.

Before returning up to the village, you may unwind and take in the views of the waterfalls while having lunch at any time of day at one of the local eateries that are close by and provide delectable tagines by the river. Depending on traffic and the season, the day excursion often concludes about 7-8 PM, when your driver will be ready to transport you back to Marrakech. Your hotel or the location nearest your riad will be the one where you are dropped off.
