Once you’ve arrived in Chefchaouen, settle into your riad or hotel and start your inquiry. The buildings in the city are renowned for their blue hue, which contributes to the romantic ambiance. Explore the busy souks, meander through the Medina’s narrow lanes, or relax at one of the charming cafes or restaurants serving mouthwatering Moroccan fare.

Day 02 CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES

We are going to Fes after breakfast. We will make a stop to the Volubilis Roman Ruins, which are protected by UNESCO, en route. Founded in the third century BCE and abandoned almost a millennium later, this enormous edifice was formerly a thriving city in a remote part of the Roman Empire.

After there, we go on to Meknes, a city from the 17th century that served as Morocco’s capital. Explore the quaint walled old town, which is home to the well-known Bab el Mansour gate. See the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, a holy place devoted to the renowned Sultan Moulay Ismail, and marvel at the gate’s exquisite carvings and decorations. We’ll travel to Fes after lunch, where we’ll spend a relaxing evening at a stunning riad.

Day 03 GUIDED EXPLORATION OF FES

After breakfast at your riad in Fes, you’ll set out for a full-day discovery of one of Morocco’s most historically rich and spiritually significant cities. The experience begins with a comfortable drive through some of the city’s key landmarks.

Your first stop is the impressive Royal Palace gate, where intricate architectural details reflect the grandeur of Moroccan craftsmanship. From there, the route continues to the former Jewish Quarter, known as the Mellah, a district that carries deep historical and cultural layers within its streets and architecture.

Next, you’ll head up to Borj Sud, a panoramic viewpoint that offers sweeping views over the vast maze of the old medina, giving you a striking first impression of its scale and complexity. The tour then continues to the ceramic and pottery district, where you’ll observe traditional artisans shaping, painting, and firing their handmade creations using techniques passed down through generations.

After the driving portion, the experience shifts into a walking exploration of the ancient medina. Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll step into a living world of narrow alleys, bustling souks, and centuries-old architecture. Along the way, you’ll visit iconic cultural sites such as the Al Attarine Madrasa, known for its exquisite design and detailed tilework, as well as the historic Al Quaraouiyine complex, widely recognized as one of the oldest centers of learning in the world.

The journey continues through the famous Chouara Tanneries, where traditional leather-making methods are still practiced today, offering a vivid and unforgettable sensory experience. By the end of the day, you’ll return to your accommodation with a deeper understanding of Fes,  a city where history, culture, and daily life are seamlessly intertwined.

Day 04 FES – IFRANE – AZROU – MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS – SAHARA DESERT

Leave Fes behind and travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture and clean mountain air, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.”

Continue into the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may encounter wild Barbary macaques. The journey then passes through Midelt for lunch before crossing mountain passes and descending into the vast Ziz Valley filled with palm groves and desert scenery.

By late afternoon, arrive at the edge of the Sahara near Erg Chebbi. Here, you’ll begin a camel trek across the dunes, stopping to watch a breathtaking sunset before reaching your luxury desert camp. Enjoy traditional music, dinner, and a night under the stars.
