Take a 4 Days Desert Tour From Fes To Marrakech To Discover The Magnificence Of Morocco. We travel the cedar forest and Ifrane, Morocco’s Switzerland, beginning in Fes.
We travel down the magnificent Ziz River and arrive in Merzouga, where we have lunch before heading into the Sahara Desert. Saddle up for a night in an opulent desert camp, a sunrise or sunset over the Sahara, and camel rides.
Discover the traditional market of Rissani, the fossils of Erfoud, the gorges of Todra and Dades, and the famous Kasbahs of Amridil and Ait Ben Haddou. Travel across the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass to traverse the High Atlas mountains. End your journey in the energetic city of Marrakech.
Our driver will pick you up from your Fes lodging and take you to the Merzouga desert in Moring. We will make a stop at Ifrane, often called Morocco’s Switzerland, along the journey so you may capture stunning photos and take in the beauty of the town. Next, we visit Azrou’s cedar forest, where several entertaining monkeys call home.
Following an extended journey across the central Atlas Mountains, we will stop for lunch in Midelt. We then traverse the TIZI N TALGHAMT pass, which offers breathtaking views of the Ziz Valley and the Ziz Gorges.
We will travel via the fossil-rich towns of Aoufous and Erfoud on our way to Erg Chebbi Dunes. Here, you may visit a fossil craft workshop and discover more about this unusual art form.
After a long drive, we finally arrive in Erg Chebbi’s Merzouga Dunes, where you will check into your accommodation and enjoy a spectacular meal with Berber music. The hotel offers distinctive and cozy lodgings that let you completely enjoy the calm beauty of the nighttime desert.
After a delectable breakfast, we take a journey to Khamlia village, where you may enjoy authentic Gnawa music performed to captivating rhythms.
Then, deviating from the planned path, we’ll travel along unpaved road across the dunes and stop to have tea with nomads who live in traditional Berber tents. You’ll get to see a new way of life through this immersive experience, and you’ll even get to eat lunch—Berber pizza.
After unwinding at the hotel in the late afternoon, you’ll get ready for an amazing camel ride into the center of the dunes to see the magnificent sunset.
After being welcomed with mint tea at the camp, you may unwind in your comfortable tents with private bathrooms and showers while the Sahara displays its breathtaking nighttime colors. Dinner is served, and while you dine, the group around the fire performs some music, adding to the romantic atmosphere of a starry Sahara night.
To ensure you don’t miss this amazing sight, get up early today to see the magnificent dawn, when the dunes come to life with an enthralling display of colors and shadows. Following breakfast, you will return to Merzouga on your camel, meet your driver, and go to Dades Gorges.
We will make a stop at the vibrant traditional market of Rissani on the route. When you wander through its busy streets on a market day—Sundays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays—you’ll be met with a colorful display of colors, scents, and noises. We next make our way to Arfoud, where you may stop at a workshop that displays petrified marble. We will pause for lunch as we continue our journey through the charming palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad.
We’ll then take a car to the Todgha Gorges. There are breathtaking red cliff-sided canyons in A River that are ideal for rock climbing. Take your time exploring the gorges, strolling through the breathtaking surroundings and taking in the beauty of nature all around you.
Boumalne Dades is the route we take as we go to the Dades Valley. Along the route, stop to observe the well-known “monkey fingers” rock formations and a quaint location perched on a mountain with breathtaking views of the Dades Valley. Lastly, end the day with a hotel stay and supper.
Our trip will go to Kalaa Magouna to visit the rose valley after breakfast. Attend the annual Rose Festival in May, when people showcase their rose-themed items, including oil, perfume, and decorations. To get to Ouarzazate, you’ll go past Skoura’s palm groves. See the film studios in Ouarzazate where a number of well-known movies were filmed.
Next on the journey is the well-known Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a walled village that is included as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many films and television shows, including Combatant, Alexander, The Mummy, and Diversion of Positions of Authority, have used footage from this famous Kasbah.
We go to Marrakech over the Tizi-N-Tichka crossing and the High Atlas Mountains after seeing this well-known kasbah. Along the trip, we’ll stop for lunch and to take pictures at picturesque locations. We spend the night in a riad in Marrakech to round off the day.
